just wondereing about something that happened to me along time ago. was going through a really awdul time both mentally and physicaaly draining. anyway i lay in be one night feeling in the darkest pit.
i asked for gods help and i don't know whom but someone camt to me. i did'nt see or hear anyone but i knew someone was beside my bed. i went from terrified and desperate to re-assured and protected in 10 seconds.
i was then able to face my problems head on and knew i was safe.
often wondered who this was, angel or family passed. did'nt know of guides then. any thought on who it was so i have an idea who to thank. love lynne

That seems like a typical experience of your guardian angel watching over you Lynne. They're with us constantly, but particularly in times of trouble or worry that's when they are closest of all. Thank your guardian angel for protecting you always. You can "talk" to them any time and know that they will always hear.

Can anybody be a guardian angel?
For instance, a loved one who only passed recently?
Or do we have our guardian angels from birth?

According to Lorna Bryne ( I'm reading her second book Stairways To Heaven)...everybody has a guardian angel..the same one from birth to death...it never leaves you. Lorna can see everybody's angel stood behind them ( appearing as a light which sometimes opens up to reveal the angel). I understand it to be the case that angels and guardian angels never lived as humans. Different loved ones will be with you from time to time but your guardian never leaves your side. I was contemplating that thought this morning when I was on the loo!  Mr. Green

It's a bit off putting to think that I may have a guardian angel sat in the bathroom with me  Shocked So I asked him/her/it to kindly look the other way while I did what I had to do!  Mr. Green

Thanks for the reply Pixie. I don't think I like the idea of a shadow 24/7 either, but I expect Guardian Angels have extra senses that allow them to know when we need them, without actually being next to us all the time. They must have other things to do.  very happy

Lornas books are a good start if you want to know about angels. Reading her books will get you thinking......thinking that she has mental issues or that if she is all there and telling the truth....wow! Either way, they are a fascinating read.

It would seem that our guardian angels are indeed there 24/7! eek   According to Lorna that is. Our guardian angel is our soul angel so it never leaves us even after physical death. Reincarnation comes into it and apparently, when our soul returns, our guardian comes back with it, even though we have a different body, the soul is the same. I guess that issues such as having private time in the bathroom ( lol) is a purely human thing and stops being an issue after we have ditched our bodies. Our angel is right there loving us no matter what we are doing. I find it comforting, I would love it to be the case. She is a remarkable lady who has a remarkable story, at times, a little too remarkable to comprehend but while I may have some doubts, another part of me says, but what if she is telling the truth?  hmm

There is an interview with Lorna Byrne somewhere here on the forum, she was interviewed on Irish TV, The Late Late Show. Not sure where to find it now (not much time as I'm on my lunch break) and I'm not sure whether it will still be viewable now, was about a year ago I think. I will look it up later.
