deceased grandmothers words. Empty deceased grandmothers words.

I hope this is the right place to post this.

I lived with my 2 children almost 3000 miles from my hometown.
When my mother was dying of cancer I went back home to be with her while she was in the hospital, she's say "mom's here and wants me to go with her" at the time I was unaware and I told her to tell my grandmother that she didn't want to go. my mother didn't know why I didn't see her sitting there with us, and why I wasn't talking to her too. I would ask what else is she saying, and my mother would tell me. Almost all of what she was saying was about me and my kids, things that my mother didn't know as we lived so far away, so my mom would say is that true? Other than saying that my Son used to be her Son, everything she said had happened. Two close calls that my daughter had, my grandmother said she "saved" her. other things were quite personal about me.

That's touching and must have been comforting for you in the sad situation of losing your mother, Curious.
Perhaps your son is the reincarnation of one of your uncles, maybe you can do a little research into family history.
Thanks for sharing with us, it's a comfort to each of us too when we read others' experiences like this.

Yes, this all took place in her last 2 days, My grandmother died when I was 14, long before I had children, so I found it comforting that she is watching over us.
When my daughter was around 2, she would look at the photo of my grandmother holding me, and tell me that lady talks to her. I don't remember what I said then.

As your daughter grew older, Curious, did she ever mention anything like that to you again - about the lady in the photo (your grandmother)?

I honestly don't remember if she did, I don't think so, it was many years before I took spirituality seriously. So really we didn't talk about it. From what I understand is that very young children are open to the Spirit World, though my son never talked about it.

Some young children are open it appears but whether it's all young children, and, if so, whether they're all equally sensitive, is uncertain. When our daughter was about 4 she told us she'd been playing with her elder brother who she knew had passed over before her birth. That was the only time she mentioned anything at all and we didn't know if she'd made up the story. She wasn't, though, one for make-believe, either then or later, so maybe she did really get to play with him? One day we'll get to find out, provided we can remember to ask!
