A few months ago I was approached by John Sutton, a former associate of Derek Acorah, who now runs The Psychic World Newspaper, this is a Newspaper that is sold and distributed around various Spiritualist Chuches.

A few people have asked if I could publish the interview here on BadPsychics as they are morally against purchasing a Newspaper that helps fund a fraudulent industry and a cult, so I thought I should oblige.

The interview appears in the December 2014 edition of The Psychic World

I took a quick look at the material on the page the link leads to- here's a quote from BadPsychics:

"Jon you are the founder and main researcher for the website Badpsychics.com please advise me of your mission statement:
I am not the founder, that would be Nik Donnis my cousin, and the originator of the BadPsychics brand. I took over from him in 2004.
My mission statement is one that we should all agree on, to expose fraudulent psychics and mediums, and educate the public as to the methods behind fake mediumship."

Re the last sentence, have you ever found any non-fraudulent psychics and mediums or any genuine mediumship?

If not, perhaps the mission statement might more accurately reflect your approach if it was written "My mission statement is one that we should all agree on, to expose psychics and alleged-mediums as fraudulent, and to educate the public about the methods behind alleged mediumship."

Interesting to see in that interview, that Jon Donnis says on the subject of "For Entertainment Purposes Only"...

"there is no European Legislation that dictates that any such disclaimer needs to be shown, in fact if you are a real medium you can call yourself a real medium"

Some may recall a discussion on the Spiritlove forum, where Jon was insisting to the contrary on that very matter - arguing his considered point that it was actually "illegal" for anyone to claim that they are a medium, despite the fact that three other members there (myself included) explained to him that he was far from 100% correct on that point!

I'm pleased to see that he has since thought it over and taken in our advice on the subject.  very happy

Despite Jon's protestations about never being wrong (or something similar) he does make mistakes, something I called him out about a few months back when he was plainly in the wrong, albeit not about anything that matters much...

I suppose, though, than even the greatly-feared Jon Donnis must sometimes accept he's not got things exactly right although most other times he chooses subjects where he's more likely to be correct.
