Re: FRESH FLOWERS
Hi sarahshapiro
By "could that be it?" - if you are wondering if smelling fresh flowers when you feel sad might be a sign that the spirit of your deceased loved one might be visiting you(?), I would think it quite likely. It's common for our loved ones to draw closer to comfort us at times of trouble, sorrow and sadness. We don't always notice any specific signs, other than very often in the depths of your despair you might get a sudden feeling of calm, your crying will stop abruptly and some people report sensing a presence, accompanied by an overwhelming feeling of love and peace. People often report a strong sense of sweet-smelling flowers at that moment. If this is something that has happened to you on more than one occasion when you have been feeling sad about your loss, I think you could probably take that as a sign that your loved one has been around to offer you comfort and reassurance and let you know that you have not lost them forever.
The flower thing happened to me (for the first time) about 9 or 10 years ago now - although I did not associate it at the time with any specific meaning, just that it was strange & unusual. It was on the occasion of one of the lowest days of my life, when all that day I had been distraught and crying (over various reasons) and indeed life in general. In the midst of my unhappiness that day I had lifted a framed photo of my parents (both over 20 years deceased at that time) and spoken out loud to their photo, pouring out what was in my heart, telling them how much I missed them both and that I had never needed them as much as I did right then. I was still crying on going to bed that night, and I can remember as I entered my bedroom being aware of a very lovely smell of perfume, as though someone had just sprayed it all around me, or held a bunch of fresh flowers right under my nose. It wasn't a perfume that I could put a name to, just an overwhelming smell of fresh flowers.
That was the night my deceased mother appeared to me for the first time (and when I visited a medium a few days after that hoping that they would confirm what had happened - that is precisely what did happen, and a whole lot more!) So, with hindsight now, although I didn't quite put 2 and 2 together at the time, I know now for sure that the the flowery perfume that had filled my bedroom that night, was indeed associated with the presence of my mother, who had come to reassure me in my time of utmost need.

Re: FRESH FLOWERS
Sorry for the off topic. I'm posting this on behalf of my father. Can anyone help me about choosing the [spam link deleted by admin] for lawn and flower beds. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, that member (kakamartin) had to be escorted off the premises.
Having been asked nicely not to post spam links, they continued to do so in various other topics around the forum.
Go and advertise your wares somewhere else. We do NOT entertain spammers here.
