    Oh yes, Stardust - From those photos, I can see why Petra is on your list.

    I've always wanted to go somewhere, anywhere that I've never been to before. I have been to many places, but still so much more of this world I would like to explore. I still want to experience Peru, Tibet, the whole of the U.S.A., the Outer Hebrides, Sicily and Capri. Been to many of the Greek islands - but I want to travel round ALL of them. Oh, there's just no end to this question for me.

    Doncaster is somewhere I've never been [YET] - but very much looking forward to going there in October.  Wink

    Misty - that beautiful voice is Enya. Doesn't she truly have the most heavenly voice. I have quite a few of her albums. She used to sing with Clannad (Gaelic for family) In fact, Clannad consists of all members of her family, a very talented musical family, much of their songs are sung in the Gaelic tongue (the Irish language). They beautiful haunting theme to 'Harry's Game' was Clannad, and Enya's voice can be found in many films.

    Alsace, one of my favourite places.
    Strasbourg where the European Parliament sits.
    Mulhouse where there is the most wonderful car museum with a marvellous section filled with beautiful veteran cars, highly polished so you can see your face in the paintwork. Sigh! They're magnificent!
    The "Route des Vins" which takes you along the route through the wine country. Alsace has some of the very best and world-renowned white wines (Riesling, Gewurtztraminer, Sylvaner, Pinot, Crémant…).
    It is also home to the bretzel (pretzel) of which I'm very fond.
    Colmar with its canals and Bartoldi museum (he's the sculptor who made the Statue of Liberty).
    So many picturesque little villages.
    Many storks build their nests all around Alsace and it's a sight to see them in flight over your head.
    Alsace is a land of dreams.

    I thought lei were the currency in Roumania but obviously it's also something else - is it one of those beautiful cotton or silk wraps you wind around your body to walk about the beach or swimming pool?
