Well, on that basis, coffee beans are grown in Nature before they are grilled and so I add freshly ground coffee. Mmm ...  very happy

I think it's because it's exclusive to Nature smells rather than covering all smells/aromas and the other senses.
But there are still plenty of things, let me think ...

- tomato plants, their smell is strong and mouth-watering
- rabbit hutch with rabbit(s) in residence

You didn't say they had to be good smells so I can add some that aren't so nice :
- new milk fresh from the cow (some people love the smell but not me)
- that weird smell that drifts up from a stagnant pool covered in green slime
- the dusty smell of old stone (e.g. from ancient tombstones)

Ooh, yes, let's go mad  Wink and what about all those nostalgic scents that transport you back to childhood ? The smell of hot toffee when Mum made toffee apples, cakes baking, the aroma of a Sunday roast with all the trimmings, wet wood from the garden shed after the rain, hot tar when the road was resurfaced, the steam coming off the horses pulling the beer carts in the Summer, ... and as someone said elsewhere the Brylcream from Dad's hair.  very happy

In our house the apple pie specialist was my Dad. Mmm, they were scrumptious.
We don't do enough home baking these days.
All those gorgeous, mouth-watering and delicious smells wafting through the house. Oh, happy days.

I think it's a cigar, cc.  Smile   You either love 'em or you hate 'em. I love the smell of cigar - brings back wonderful memories of Havana.
