Guess who ?
Saw kitkat on PB (smile) and thought I'd not been here on "Light after Life" for a while, but whenever I looked in days had gone by with no posts, so I didn't linger.
So anyway, despite problems between other members/sites, I hope I'm allowed to keep neutral and not take sides.
I wish you would all kiss and make up though, life's too short and it's so sad when the original group all started out on these forum roads together, hand-in-hand so to speak. very happy

What a beautiful bouquet, Feather. Smile

and how lovely to see you Stardust. very happy  Big (((HUG))) for you.

Yes, it's been quiet on here for sometime (post-wise) but we're all still very much around - all doing our own thing but we keep in constant touch with each other.
The only reason I don't post so much here these days is because I'm kept busy with my regular Trance and Physical Circle.
I do come here regularly for the peace and tranquility and to re-charge the batteries - kept very busy on Spiritlove also which is still very active. (we have created a section of the forum called The Hideaway which is not publicly visible, and accessible only to vetted members). A little haven for those of us who wish to stay in touch but for various reasons would rather keep a low profile) . There's a Bar in there where people meet up with each other, there's a Doctor's Surgery .. and much more.  Cool
So, all in all - something for everyone.

At the end of the day, it's the individual's choice as to where they seek to find their own harmony.

Hi all and thanks Feather.

I know Candlelight and I totally agree, as I've said elsewhere, but I'm sensitive and I get an impression of something being not quite right somewhere. However, as I'm on the outside looking in perhaps I'll stay out of it from now on.

Looks just like the one that appeared suddenly over the top of my lap-top screen yesterday  Shocked and ran across the screen and onto the keyboard ! It was a BIGGIE!

I did NOT smile, I can assure you(!) and needn't tell you I didn't hang around ... but I did think of Lynne at the time.

Lots of love to Lynne if you do look in. xxx (maybe it's a sign  Wink )

Wow Feather!
That last one looks like two elegant green Afghan hounds.
As for the first one, what kind of wierd tree is that?
It looks like a bundle of mossy rocks heaped together on top of the trunk.
It's not ugly though, and certainly very original.
You should add those two pics to the tree thread.

I grinned when I saw the new version of this forum. It is very pleasing. I love the
contrast between the pastel blue and the more defining maroon. I don't like the
SL colours as they are both heavy. If one were pastel, it would be fine.  Smile

It's only temporary - special Christmas one. Yes, it's nice and cheery isn't it.
After Christmas I will change it again, maybe something different again, or maybe back to the original. very happy

Embarassed very happy Mr. Green You're too kind, lar-lar.
You mean a real blizzard, with those sharp little razor slashes to the face, when you have to walk leaning far forward to avoid toppling backwards, when the only way to breathe is to put a hand in front of your mouth to cut off the smothering force of the cold wind?
Why don't we go straight for the hot chocolate instead?  Mr. Green

It's officially SPRINGTIME when the crocuses appear.  very happy

They're out in full bloom now decorating the church grounds opposite, which I can see from my window.

Getting to work on the bus was a breeze this morning after strikes all last week.

Downside is: general strike again tomorrow and heavy rain forecast. Sigh... [image no longer available]
Oh well, stick a smile on my face and things won't seem so bad.

Been rain and wind here this morning but it's calmed down a bit now. I'm delighted to say that I'm soon going to Glasgow to trade in my car for a newer one. One of my sons will come with me. I always get excited cos I love cars. It's a Toyota Aygo in pale blue. This model is not one of those recalled by Toyota because of faults. It'll cost me £85 extra to transfer my personal number plate to the new car but it will be worth it. It's M15 YRA. Get it?

lol lol

Gosh, Feather, it seems like only yesterday you were all excited because you were due to go and collect your new car.

(I bet that personal number plate cost a lot more than £85 to purchase in the first place!)

My partner once had a really old Toyota, an old banger of a thing that he picked up for a song somewhere.

We had someone knock on our door one day offering FIVE TIMES more than he had paid for it (about 2 years previous).
It was perfect timing too because he had been thinking for some time about getting a decent car - so he accepted!
We were intrigued to know why this person was so interested in such a clapped out thing ... he told us it was the registration plate that interested him (he traded in them) and apparently the reg number 69Y would fetch a fair profit for him, as people would be clamouring for the 69 !! Takes all sorts I suppose. razz

Some people are just plain daft. Pity you didn't know before you sold the car though, Candlelight.

Feather, you're fun. excited

Are we all invited to the party in celebration of your new car?

My one wasn't too bad---£300 odd. Some of them were many thousands, dearer than my car!
I haven't got the car yet. I've had a re-think. I'm going to check out the garages in Orkney
today. You never know. Maybe my ideal car is sitting waiting for me across the road at Michael
Shearer's place. He is Morris's nephew and I've bought a few cars from him in the past. It would save me
the cost of going south. He's family so he gives me a good deal on my old car. Leigh and Ray both have a day
off work today so they are coming with me to keep me from buying a dodgy vehicle. I will report later.

This will be the last post from me on this thread cos cars are off topic.
There was no car I wanted in Orkney--well not at my price-- so Leigh and
I are off to Glasgow next week to get my new one. It's an Ice Blue Toyota Aygo
and I love the look of it. It's got low mileage on the clock and had only 1
previous owner.

An hour and a half of torture for me. I'm not a good sailor. I just realised what the title of this thread is. I guess I'm
not off topic after all. I'm certainly smiling at the thought of getting a different car. I still love the one I have but it's good to go forward a couple of years. I see we've got a new member here. That's great.xxx.

My answer to that, Stardust, is I'm way ahead of you as regards posting photos . In fact, I'm way ahead of everybody. I'd love to be able to put a face to that bright brain of yours. I'm 99% certain you won't oblige but I'm asking anyway. Send it in a PM????
If you do, then I'll post the photo you ask for.

I don't have any recent photos of me and I gave away my digital camera last year because I never used it.
I did try to find some photos which I'd stored on my computer, taken with colleagues at a reception a few years ago, but they were no longer there. I probably deleted them myself after a while, though I don't remember.
I wouldn't have indicated which one was me anyway and there were a lot of us there. Mr. Green
