I like the idea that you can now read Psychic News online without the need to download anything to your device.
Only problem I have with that is the Full Screen module doesn't work, doesn't do anything when I click it. question
And the module to click to enlarge is limited to one enlargement, which is still quite small and difficult to read.  Click again and it goes back to default.
Is there another way to enable the full screen to appear, so enlarging the section of the page you are reading?

Have you tried using the '+' button at the top of the page?  I was able to magnify the text significantly but you'll have to scroll around to see the whole page, often a problem with electronic versions of journals.

I prefer to download the .pdf file version of the magazine but it's still a faff to read the pages needing horizontal and vertical scrolling.  It's not a patch on the printed magazine but for me few electronic versions are convenient and easy.

It's some while since the free mag appeared and I'm left wondering when/if the mag will be printed again.

There's not a lot for me either way but I would buy a print subscription if I could also get a .pdf version for when I'm unable to receive surface mail, the way I receive my subscription Computer Active mag.

There used to be a combined download / print version of PN but it disappeared a few years back so now I don't subscribe at all.  That's a few quid missing from PN's coffers for the sake of offering the print/pdf combo subscription.  And I wouldn't mind paying a little extra the way I do for Computer Active.

Not sure about that, ariel, as I like to down load my editions of the mag and keep a chronological record of all of them in one place - readily viewable and instantly to hand at any time.  Especially helpful to keep them that way as you can use the find and search facility to flick through all of them if, e.g. you wanted to look up a certain subject and didn't know the date of publishing, and which would also include any and every back article on that subject.

It might be an idea to contact PN directly through their website & mention the problem you have with viewing online; they might not be aware that something is not working technically as it should, and can set about rectifying it.

Even when the printed version was available, I still preferred to download the online version (for my reasons stated in reply to ariel).
Then there's the problem of storage - all those magazines take up an awful lot of physical space, whereas the downloaded, filed versions enable you to carry ALL of them around in your pocket!
For me, there's just no question as to printed, online read or download to file. It's easier all round for me, but of course it's an individual personal preference which differs with everyone's circumstances.

Then again, there's the option to perhaps print out each issue when it arrives, making it easier to read.
That might be the best option for you, mac, in the absence of the availability of the printed version subscription(?)

I can print it only while it's a free download, kk. but actually I prefer a 'real' mag cos I'm an old fart who likes stuff on his lap in printed form.  excited

BUT because half the year I can't get it delivered by post I would pay for a combined print/electronic subscription but I'm certainly not gonna pay for two separate ones.

I used to keep all my weekly editions of PN and they did become an issue in terms of storage space.  My loft timbers must have groaned!

So next I removed - tore out - just the stuff I was likely to want to refer to - there were loads I wouldn't ever want anyway.  I kept all the relevant bits but over many years I found I rarely needed to refer to anything anyway and eventually I pruned those saved articles and now I have left just a few of the most relevant.

There are times I wish I could look back at the pieces that shaped my approach, the writers whose knowledge and ability blew me away.  But how often I would actually do it is moot - probably not very often I'd guess!

Now, of course, PN is so changed that I rarely find much of interest and even less would want to save and/or refer to.  But the electronic subscription allows reference right back to the time when PN almost went extinct and I would recommend such a sub. to anyone else so interested.

You're right about reporting the display issues ariel mentions but downloading is a great work round unless she's got download restrictions and/or slow internet speeds.
