    So I about this time last year I'd cut dairy out my diet, and the only meat I was eating was roast chicken at my parents at the weekend. So I made a decision to go vegan.

    Pleased I did. I never broke. I never had a kebab. Its been tough but not through willpower more tough by the added effort you have to make.

    The irony of all this is that I seem to care about animals and their welfare more than 99% of spiritualists I meet.

    As I head towards 40 years of age I've never been healthier, I'm fit, strong and happy.

    I recommend it to anyone with health issues.
    And I recommend it to anyone who cares about animals.

    Don't be a hypocrite. Go vegan.

      Choose for yourself - this guy's done it for just one year but he now thinks he knows how others should live  - shidad.  Even if he manages to continue as a vegan it probably won't change him in a positive way.

    And what's being a Spiritualist got to do with either being a vegan or JDBP?  More of the claptrap we've come to expect from this individual.

    Go back to whatever you think you know about and maybe learn a little humility too - it's obvious you didn't find any while you were away.

    If you are horrified by the thought of eating insects, the bad news is that you have probably done so many, many times.
    This is because one of the most widely used red food colourings - carmine - is made from crushed up bugs.
    The insects used to make carmine are called cochineal, and are native to Latin America where they live on cacti.
    Now farmed mainly in Peru, millions of the tiny insects are harvested every year to produce the colouring.
    A staple of the global food industry, carmine is added to everything from yoghurts and ice creams, to fruit pies, soft drinks, cupcakes and donuts.
    It is also used extensively in the cosmetics industry and is found in many lipsticks.

    And indeed, from a 'spiritual' point of view, just think of all the livelihoods that are being adversely affected because of this recent global trend or fad (because that's what it is in a lot of cases) :

    Oh don't discourage him....  He doesn't get out much and having a purpose in life - and a reasonable aim in my view - is important to him.
